At the end of April, the famous ‘', a plastic duck race on the Alzette, takes place every year. It's a major charity event during which you can sponsor a plastic duck. The first to reach the finish line are rewarded with prizes. For the occasion, a village with entertainment and food stands is set up. All proceeds from the day are donated to charities.

Luxembourg City provides various sports facilities, including promenades, fitness trails, and cycling pathsin the city center. In addition to these, there are tennis courts, sports halls, gyms, skating rinks, swimming pools, skateparks, soccer fields, and various multi-sports areas to explore.Some municipal pools, such as (in the city center) or (in Kirchberg), also offer wellness areas that are very popular in the country, with saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis, and more. Note that these wellness areas are nudist and mixed-gender.
