I am from the Central Coast of NSW Australia and am wondering about the possibility of moving to New Caledonia for a year or so with my husband and 3 year old son. My father was born in New Caledonia and i did have a French passport when i was younger but it expired. I don't speak much French but should be able to pick it up. Is there any sort of work avail for someone in my situation and where is reasonably priced to live? Does anyone know about surfing (on a surf board, not windsurfing) as my husband is into this. Also schools for my son? Thank you.
