Introduction
From the UK 62 years old. Engaged to a 41 year old Filipino girl who is the most beautiful soul I have ever met. She comes with no baggage, no kids and never been married. We want to settle down in the Philippines. She has family in Dipolog, Manila and Iloilo. Since October 2017 we are living in Iloilo and hope to make the move here permanent.

Expat experience
First introduction to the Philippines was in 2008 working on BPO projects for my employer (international law firm). Have visited almost every year since working on similar projects always in BGC/Makati. Met my Filipina fiancée a year ago and took the plunge to retire and move here.
The people and their generally friendly nature, their resilience and ability to come up with solutions no matter how Heath Robinson.
Dogs, appalling traffic and driving skills, the slow pace of getting things done, shop assistants who follow you round stores assuming that because you are a westerner you will buy something. I'm retired now. I will destress and get used to these things !!
Born in Oxford. Lived most of the time in the Thames Valley/Chiltern area but also for a few years in the West Country. Four kids all grown up. Son in Perth, Australia three daughters still in the UK
Cold crisp sunny mornings, English sausages and a good pint of bitter. My kids and my friends.
