I come from the US and I have been living in Köln since July 2010. I'm learning to speak the language and trying to adjust to the different foods here. I am currently very homesick.

Writing and watching street performers
again, street performers...the dome...oh and the bread. it is simply the best in the world I think.
the public transportation system and those who control it (I swear I thought it was free!) also tv commercials after 10pm are something else I do not think I will ever get used to.
I lived next to Lake Michigan. I saw it everyday and watched the sun set almost every evening.
It was a small town and people opened doors for you. That and I couldn't go anywhere without running into people I knew.
Too much snow and ice in the winter. Shovel, shovel and shovel some more and hope you don't get stuck.
