Expat experience
Working as a business developer and learning Mandarin.
Honest people, good infrastructure
High barrier to entry for Filipinos.
Had a happy life living with my girlfriend near our friends and family.
People are very warm, happy, and friendly. Widespread English speaking ability. Low cost of living. Good night life and Japanese, Korean, western cuisines.
Services can sometimes be unreliable and customer service is often a joke. Infrastructure needs improvement and government corruption makes social mobility difficult for Filipinos.
