I wish to learn about where to teach English; the real story - not the brochure world. My goal is to find the right location to teach and live. Then become a resident by purchasing a piece of property. However, I need to understand what to avoid and have many more questions. I have taught previously; I have a Ph.D. MBA, BSc. I have read about Universities, schools - some schools sound trustworthy; others do not. I have traveled the Globe, Ecuador appears to be a place worth looking into and understanding. Though I have never been to Ecuador, my daughter has and loved it. I like the climate and what I have read about the people in need and their laid-back lifestyle. I want to do TEFL to give back to a developing country. I could live life in the United States very comfortably and not care. However, having worked in developing countries to advance their infrastructure and technology, I always enjoyed the people; not necessarily the business aspects. If somehow I can make a difference; it would be a privilege to do so.
