Born in USA to a German mother who just moved to USA. Made several trips with mom to Germany and Switzerland when young, and visited several other European countries as an adult. In the summer of 2017 I spent 3-months in Dresden teaching a class at TUD, and plan to return for 3-months in the summer of 2019.
