In my professional life, lived in Asia for 16 years, 9 of them in the Philippines, lived in Alabang and had offices in China Bank Bldg. in Makati.... Belonged to Luisita GCC (Tarlac), Southwoods, Canlubang and Alabang Country Clubs at the same time. Made many Filipino friends and stayed away from the expat community unless it was necessary.
