I retired from 28 years of teaching special ed high school in Toronto, my husband is a day trader online, so we decided we had enough of snow and headed to Mexico, to Lake Chapala just south of Guadalajara. Now we feel the urge to explore further south. Costa Rica intrigues us because of the exotic flora and fauna, and an even warmer winter ( Chapala can be in the upper 40's at night for 2 months in the winter). We are going to visit Costa Rica from Jan to March 2012, to see if we want to live there. We would appreciate hearing from any of you expats who live in the Central Valley in Costa Rica.
