Introduction

Talented mechanical engineer with over two years of experience. Highly skilled in CAD, CFD and FEA software from design conceptualization to manufacturing. International experience in solar vehicle design as a team leader and lead engineer. I thrive when challenged professionally, which allows me to complete tasks of a high calibre. Design engineering of aerodynamic surfaces in the renewable energy, automotive and aerospace sectors is my forte. I have dual citizenship, namely, United Kingdom and South Africa.

I joined expat.com on 28 October 2019.

Lived with solar team members. My work involved the following: Design engineering on several projects including: - Aided in the invention of a water capturing device to stop water droplets leaking from Defy fridge water dispensers. - Aided in the development of airflow altering devices to reduce aerodynamic drag on trucks for a large company called Tirsan. - Improved the mechanical and aerodynamic aspects of Sunatolia 3 (Anadolu University's solar vehicle) by re-engineering the steering, braking, suspension systems, chassis, canopy and overall vehicle aerodynamics. All systems were tested on a dimensionally similar dummy vehicle space frame before being installed on the actual vehicle. I also lectured some of the university employees regarding specialised software by the name of OpenFOAM. Most days we worked 12 to 18 hours per day including weekends. The work hours seemed to fly by as we all were doing what we enjoy and are passionate about.

It could get as cold as minus twenty-four degrees Celcius.
