I'm from Southern California, but also lived around the state (SF, Santa Barbara, Bishop...). Have travelled and climbed around the Southwest USA quite a bit, and visited many places in North America. Backpacked in Europe. Lived in South Korea for many years until recently, as an English teacher. I'm hoping to spend a lot of time exploring the sea here, perhaps in a sea kayak or small boat of some kind, as well as the general coast to the north, and also more of the country itself. Phan Rang will be my base, is the plan. Probably will teach English online for the time being but I'm open to privates in the local area, or possibly a part-time academy-type gig....might even start a very small English speaking and writing school myself once I get to know some locals. Also, I have the technical skills to teach Korean (although the students would need very good English skills, obviously..).

Teaching English, writing, hiking, serious study of the language (leading to a self-published book), talking to cuties, etc. etc.
Culture, food, Buddhist temples, mountain areas, seashores, (some aspects of) the manners of the locals, hot springs, public transportation, high-speed internet, modern conveniences
Some aspects of the people, the summer heat, some of the expats I ran into, the nightlife, dirtiness of some areas, getting food poisoning fairly regularly...I could go on.
