Introduction
I am from Canada and I took a job finishing the new airport, North East of Quito. I expect to be here until the airport is finished and I want to take the opportunity to visit this beautiful country. I would like to meet other expats or ecuadorians who would enjoy showing me around.

Expat experience
I am on temporary assignment working for a large construction company in Canada who is building the new Quito Airport. I spend most of my evenings in my apartment and most Sundays I go golfing. I venture out to go grocery shopping and other shopping on Saturdays but stay in Cumbaya or Tumbaco for the most part.
Every morning I wake up and see Pinchincha, and as I drive to work all I see are mountains. The land scape is breath taking and I love this.
I wish I had more confidence that I could go out at night like I do back home but as I do not know the area or how to get around that well it is best I stay home.
This is my home. I was born here and will always be a Canadian. I have served in my countries Navy, gone to school here and my family as roots that go back 5 plus generations.
