My husband and I are retired Americans who love to travel but hate being tourists. Our solution was to choose a location and go there for two years--long enough to study the language and learn in more depth about the culture and history. We chose Turkey and have settled (until June 2012) in the Isiklar neighborhood of Antalya. We love it here!
