I'm a Conservation Biologist from the UK. I've carried out research in Madagascar and South Africa and I have also lived in Sweden for a year. I have come to UB to work for an NGO based at the National University of Mongolia. My professional interests are conservation and capacity building. In my personal time I enjoy cycling and building bikes, I've previously cycled my way around western Europe. I'm quite gregarious and so enjoy the company of people and would like to meet others who are, or have been, new to Ulaanbaatar. I've been here a week and am just settling in to my job and surroundings. I look forward to meeting people from the expat blog for coffee or the odd beer!

I graduated with a degree in Biological Science then set up an expedition to Madagascar. In the following months a full report was written up and given to all funding bodies that provided grants for the expedition. After that I was volunteering with a small NGO I came across whilst in Madagascar. This work was in London but I was still based in Brighton.
