As an Aussie who's spent 40 years living in Australia: (Albury-Wodonga, Canberra, Darwin, Gosford - NSW Central Coast, Homebush Sydney & Lower Blue Mountains). Since July, 2001 (11 years) we've lived in America: (Ashburn & Winchester VA (Virginia) From late 2012 - 2013 we are expecting & planning towards living in Rennes, France. Therefore, it'd be exciting to find orger Aussies to communicate with so it won't be such a overwhelming relocation process as this time I won't have kids to build my own social network through...(I'm now an Empty Nester with a husband who'll B working nearby for Orange Telecommunications Services: (1.9klm from Rennes). Having learned French at School (30 years ago: I now wished I'd consentrated more). So basically I'll need to start over!! Hubby is a 48 year old honey - whilst I'm 51 & we've been married 26 years on 12/27/2012. We're the proud parents of a 23 year old daughter who's recently married & will continue to consider Washington DC area her home as she is a Professional Opera Singer & Vocal Teacher whilst her hubby enjoys a career in IT. We're also parents to a (pure bred) 12 yr old King Charles Spaniel Dog (Miss Tilly) who's our Princess. I also have a 30 yr old son who lives in Boyne Island QLD and are parents of our 1st Grandchild Summer Alexis (6 months as I write this). Looking forward: I'm excitedly looking forward to this next new Chapter in our lives & hope to meet many friendly Australians living in Rennes so that I won't feel sad & lonely in a Foreign Country again. Therefore, if you'd like: please connect with me please!! I look forward to hearing from U soon!! Expat: My hubby spent 6 years enlisted in Australian Army & 6 years enlisted in Australian Airforce. Has been working for his current employer 12 years with them providing us with a transfer from Sudney over to USA & soon another Work Transfer over to Rennes, France. Our home here in Winchester, VA (1.1/2 hour drive West of Washington DC) is currently on the market For Sale. I've got personal commitments in this area through until November & then we'll be excited & ready to be departing America permanently ~:) I look forward to hearing from you soon!!!
