I am a global logistics fundi who currently work for a British company developing an iron ore mine in northern Sierra Leone but am originally from Swakopmund, Namibia in sub Saharan Africa. Having an active interest in culture and global travel, I am very excited to live in Addis Ababa. Have lived in various countries around the world (Russia, Ukraine, South Africa, Ghana, Namibia, Sierra Leone) but this is my first foray into the diametrically opposed Ethiopia to anything I have seen or known before.
I joined expat.com on 16 July 2012.

The vast plethora of cultures and and ethnics groups still practising their age old traditions and the olde world application of life that is past its hey days. Above all else, the humility and pride of the average Ethiopian I met on the streets of Mendida, Debre Berhan etc.
Stifling bureaucracy, olde world telecommunications infrastructure and the absence of a vibrant society that is fine tuned to grasp the realities of the new world economy and social impact on the lifes of ordinary Ethiopians.
From a goat herder to a global citizen with a vast array of knowledge and experience in the international trade, supply chain and logistics industries spanning across various sectors in Namibia, South Africa, Ukraine, Russia.
An intriguing and landscaped country with a vibrant tapestry of history, culture and contrasting landscapes.
