I am a man, aged forty-seven years old man with accounting work experience of twenty-three years and currently I am employed by an advertising agency as a Finance Manager. As can be seen from my CV, I first worked for a motor industry company ZIMOCO where I was a Bookkeeper for the Canteen and later on the Medical Aid. The passion if gaining experience saw me joining a parastatal called Zimbabwe State Trading Corporation which was any agent of the government to source scarce commodities that time. I left the corporation when we were retrenched after the corporation served its purpose. I then joined a two way radio manufacturing company called Communication Systems Of Zimbabwe as a Bookkeeper were I worked for a year before my former boss in this company, after realizing the potential in me, called me to join an advertising agency he had just joined. Initially I joined as a Finance Assistant and was promoted to the position of a Finance Manager. In the 2000, our company merged with another advertising agency called CM & A Advertising and I retained the position of a Finance Manager. During that time, I was doing part time job for a bed and foam rubber manufacturing company called KDV Trading who later on offered me a full time Accountant post which I accepted since it was more challenging and I was to gain experience in the manufacturing accounting. I managed to persuade the shareholders to do some advertisement and gave the business to CM & A who really assisted in the growth of the company through their creativity. Under my supervision, I worked with a team of eight subordinated who most of them I had trained. I then left the company during the end of the year 2008. I rejoined, CM& A which was rebuilding and replacing all the people who left. I was called back to take the same position of Finance Manager which I accepted and started work in January 2009 to date. I have managed to put back the agency back to its position since it was in financial crisis. With my team we managed to collect 95% debt which was being owed and have managed to pay almost all the agencys creditors. This has been a great achievement in my life and I am proud of it.
