Introduction
i have a us passport, but only because through being inattentive, i lost my french and dutch ones. oh well. i'm a black foreign guy, living in cape town. sometimes i have drama, but most of the time i have work. the blog i have linked to this outlines my travel and political insights. the personal stuff is kept somewhere else.

Expat experience
a bit of grad school
the weather
being perceived as nigerian is a major negative; i've had to dig up my american accent and wrap it around me like the flag. this is not ayoba.
just hung out
the people
the power and water cuts. but it was, all in all, cool.
grad school
party atmosphere
few black people with white collar jobs; being the only black person in the office who isn't cleaning it was a bit of a downer.
