I was born in the US and grew up in Switzerland. I went to China in 2000 and studied and worked there for 13 years. I graduated from Beijing Normal University with a degree in Chinese Language and Culture after which I taught English at Universities and other language schools as well as did some work as a translator. I moved to Taiwan in September of 2013.
