I am a native of Santo Domingo and just recently moved to Punta Cana. Having lived and worked in the USA and Canada, I speak fluent English and enjoy getting to know and assist expats -- it is my way of paying back for the hospitality I enjoyed overseas at a critical point in my life. In my early career I was a tour operator who handled charter flights and cruise ship excursions. For over 25 years I was a tourism editor and a practicing architect specialized in hotels/resorts and vacation homes, primarily on the North Coast. In my so-called "semi-retirement" I make a living as a translator/interpreter and have fun being a tourism journalist and web publisher. I'm happy to be a member of this forum and open to making new friends.
