@absalam2g3
We're you invited for the first appointment? After the declaration was made? The first appointment is when they will request for what is needed from you, that is what I was told I am still waiting for my first appointment after my declaration.... Too much delay till now.
@ridewitgab
Well what l did was l first of all sent an email to the commune asking them what l need to do in order to apply for Belgium Nationality.
They quickly replied me back and tell me all the necessary documents l will be needing before l can apply.
Few weeks later l got an email from them again to give me an appointment at Durne gemente to go and apply for the nationality.
So l only went to the appointment only once and that was the same day l took all my documents and same day l signed my declaration because the staff at the commune said all my documents are intact and everything is alright to go.
@ridewitgab
l forgot to add that the appointment they gave me took me about 8 months because they sent me the the email with my appointment arround last year December 2022 and the appointment too was in July 2023
Now you said it all, before you made it short and looks too fast for your procedure, Is the same procedures for everybody, Everything is slow in Antwerp commune at the moment
anyone gotten decision lately?
@ridewitgab brussel is also slowly procedure for nationaliteit is very slowly brussel antwerpen is samen
@absalam2g3 Congratulations! Have you applied for your card? How long did it take before the eID was issued?
Total time from application to approval - 3.5 month (no police visits! Took 2 days to receive confirmation that application as been forwarded to Brussels)
Total time from approval to receipt of letter from commune - 6 working days
Total time from application of eID and receipt of ID card - 3 days.
Mine is already 3.5 months in after submission 9f declaration, amd no news yet. Ill post in 3 weeks any updates
Good day everybody please I leave in Antwerp I was asked to pay 150 euro for my nationality procedure can anybody help me with the account number for the payment and the reference number of payment
Thanks
@ridewitgab
You need to do this payment in my minfin
There you have a link to pay for Nationality application.
once paid remember to take a payment receipt from there. Normal bank payment receipts are not accepted.
Interestingly in Antwerp they don't ask for a permanent residence to apply for nationality, may be upon submission they will ask.
  @hssn601 have you already applied?
 Â
  -@maharaji1984
No i will wait for L-card then i will apply as i believe it is mandatory to have unlimited residence to apply for Nationality.
@hssn601 i belive so. I read a official document and having a permanent residence card is mandatory.
Did you applied for L car as soon as 5 years period completed? Or a little bit in advance?
I applied after 5 years
Well, after 4 months and 10 daus I received a possitive answer. I knew about it sonce I can see my nationaloty certificate in mondossier. I am away for the holiday tome, and i guess ill see the commune invitation once ai return. I have to say themprocess was quite easy.
My nationality approved in 2 months 3 weeks. Can't skip mentioning that in this period there was christmas and new year breaks and the fact that I missed 3 times police visits due to not managing to find a common visit time: it took 1 month in between their first visit and last visit for me.
Hello
I am living in Brussels Belgium from 1 year. We are inviting are mother from India to Belgium as we need her here because of my pregnancy. We applied tourist visa for 3 months but we have got the visa for only 45 days for her. So my question is:
Is there any possibility if we apply for extension of visa ?
And what should we do in that case ?
Also , the date we have given is 10 February so can we call her here little late like after 15 February, so from which date 45 days will be count ?
@somyapradhan06
Hi there,
I think this would be the wrong chat for that question. However, my experience tells me that the visa validity does not imply the time your mom can stay in the schengen area. The time date stamp in the visa states the dates you can use the visa. Now, once she is in the schengen area, she has to comply with the 90 days in the 180 day period. Good luck with the pregnancy!
Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well.
I just completed my 4 months, and I did not receive any letter/email. Is it okay if I go to the commune next week to seek some information/updates about my nationality process ? It's stressing me out.
Thank you for your kind response.
Hello everyone First time my Belgium nationality is refused it Then I appeal again for nationality my belgium nationality case has been submitted to the court now how long wait for new court
@mansurdostakhel82Â Hi , do you mind sharing the refusal reason?
@Rd Devils hooray

@vaibrasil
You need to have your cardreader for accessing mondossier
@bruggeling1 Hi, I have a similar situation. I have done Msters from VUB in English but I have B 1 level Dutch and A2 Level French. irst I was issue A card as a student and then F card on the basis of my child who is not Belgian but EU citizen. My 5 years legal stay in Belgium will complete in Sep 2024. Does my A card period count towards 5 years legal stay? What other things did you prove other than your diploma?
Hi all,
Does anyone know if you are legally obliged to be in Belgium after the citizenship has been granted?
