Studying with foreign qualifications

Post new topic

Hello

I am from Uganda in east Africa

I recently got all my mvv visa and will be getting my residency card in two week's time.

However I am looking into studying something else entirely. I'd like to know if its possible to study psychology towards practicing psychotherapy

Now my question is whether I can study as a regular dutch student interns of tuition payments considering I'll be having my country's results and qualifications.

And I'd like to know too if its possible for me to study masters in psychology towards becoming a psychotherapist with a law degree from my country.

I read somewhere that the psychologists are very much supervised by other institution and I still dont know all the requirements they need.

Thank you

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

I think you'll need to speak to the University where you are hoping to study.  I know that fees for non-EU students are higher than for EU citizens, the question will be whether your MVV is sufficient to qualify you as a Dutch student, only they will know the current rules.  Whether your higher education qualification will be accepted at face value - this may be useful.  To find out if your current qualifications are recognized, then contact NUFFIC - this will take you straight to their website where you will find out how to contact them.

I hope this helps.
