LTCL (less than container load) from Russia

Hello, all!

I was just wondering whether any of you know anyone who will emigrate from Russia to Uruguay soon or at least as soon as the situation in the Russian Federation allows it. Small shipments from Russia are extremely expensive. It would be much cheaper if we could consolidate the belongings of a few immigrants into one 20' or one 40' container.

Anybody interested?  Please answer here or private message me.  Thank you!

Armin

P.S.:  The shipment needs to be clean, so only real immigrants and no funny business, please.  We need to be able to trust each other.

Your best bet is to find a shipping agent in Russia who could find space in a container. You will also need a customs agent in Montevideo. Then the fun starts. My FCL arrived during the pandemic while I was stuck in the UK and couldn't do anything to land it so had to pay US$2.500 in TCP charges and another US$5.000 or so in storage charges. The only agent I could find had a practice of filing every paper for a month before looking at it. Several people, including some very helpful staff at aduanas suggested I find another agent.

Thank you for this albeit discouraging information!  It is a good thing one can learn from an other's pain.  Have you heard of anyone more successful than you?  I know people who have done it moving to Canada and it worked for all.  They just went together for customs clearance.
