Long stay Visa

Post new topic

Hi, I am an American. I am torn between France and Guadeloupe. I am leaning more toward Guadeloupe. It offers the best of both worlds.  Does Guadeloupe offers a long stay visa like France? If yes, do you need a certain amount of money ( $42,000 USD )in your bank account to qualify?

Hello Lah142,

Welcome on board !

They do offer long stay visa (3 months - 1 year) depending on nature of your nature.

I would suggest that you contact the competent authorities in Guadeloupe to enquire :

Hi there,

This is the tricky question, To settle in Guadeloupe, you could first do some visits and acquaint with people, because you need to know the culture, which is very important here !

Guadeloupe is a beautiful country and you can afford many things should you decide to do business in here more than looking for a job...

As a business giving support to b2b or b2c, I am happy to listen to how you plan to take action for moving, caution on spending you money because even you would have millions in the bank, this is a french's luxurious country, giving you all the assets and tools to love staying, if you dont careful you money could drop down very fast.

Should you want more info look at my profile and contact me. I am an Uk-France expat whom was forced to say in Guadeloupe in the middle of Covid19  and felt it on the hard way !

Toiday I feel like to help out as a business but also aim to see those expats guiring to success !

Guadeloupe has more to offer than sunshine and tourism, there is a strong professionnal potential that as bilingual born French-English, I highly want to see this country developping it high English potential !

Best of luck,

Catherine
