I have been in Laos now for 17 years so yes there is. However it is easier if you are married but you dont have to be. An agent can get you an LA-B2, which costs around $500 a year. As I am old, have been here a long lime, don't leave the country, and am married to a Lao citizen, my 12 month vise is now $5 per year. @eakchalermkiat

The LA B2 visa is the most common type of visa issued to foreigners living and working in Laos. It is a multiple entry visa and is available for a period of 3 months 6 months or 1 year.

As snikrep65 states, an agent can get the visa for you.
