Since 8 October 23 I have been trying to set an appointment for renewal of my self-sponsorship residence permit. Firstly the appointment app kept indicating to try later; finally when I succeeded, I went to Muharraq MOI/NPRA and was redirected to NPRA in Diplomatic area where I was told to request on-line ONLY. I called 17077077 and was told to call 17399712 for assistance; but no answer. I sent an email to Self-sponsorship@npra.gov.bh it failed to deliver; I sent a complaint to Tawasul submission failed; I called Tawasul 80008001 doesn’t have selection for MOI. With all the back and forth for the past 2 weeks and calls to respective concerned, no solution thus far. I'm getting frustrated as my residence permit will expire on 21 October 23. Kindly advise how I can resolve this urgent issue. many thanks in advance. Isabella

Hello friends, I need to apply聽 for renewal of my self sponsor visa in the next few months. My query is as follows: It seems now they are asking for a marriage certificate. I dont have one because back in the eighties it was not the practice to get marriage certificate. However both passports, that of my wife and mine, indicate we are husband and wife. So, will the passport copies suffice? Otherwise, what are the options? I would be grateful for any help/suggestion in the matter. Thank you.

You need a marriage certificate.聽 If you don't have one and it is just a renewal, trying applying without and see what happens.

it took about six months before my self-sponsorship residence permit was renewed .聽

Just like I had guessed, it could have been because of conversion to electronic instead of old version whereby it was included in passport.
