Cashing foreign cheques in Denmark

Hello all,

question to all expats out there (and maybe Canadians especially): has anyone tried cashing a foreign cheques here in DK?

Canadian revenue agency just sent me adjusted tax rebate from few years back but in their wisdom rebate came in a form of an official government cheque. I bank with Djurslands Bank and they told me that they couldn't cash paper cheques. I'm not sure if I can go to any other bank with this cheque.

Has anyone faced with a similar problem? Any recommendations on how to go about it?

It's no longer possible to cash a paper cheques in a Danish bank.
