My name is Karin. I am a native Dutch and I grew up on one of the small islands in the North of the Netherlands.

Since 2008 I lived in several European countries and also in Morocco. I learned that, although I liked the many places where I have lived, I feel at my best near the sea.

The smell of seawater, the sound of the waves, and the enormous power of the water (and not only in bad weather) is a true power of nature which I respect and love to be around.

The country I feel most at home is Greece. After living in Athens (2016) and Thessaloniki (2020) I will return to Greece in January 2025.

Some of my hobbies are:

Culture, History, Food, Hiking/Walking, Fitness, Learning, Reading, etc.

I am learning the Greek language, at the moment via an app. But hopefully in the future with some new acquaintances and friends in real life.

Hi all - we currently live and work (me, partner is retired) in UK but my partner and I are looking into living in Greece under the Financially Independent Persons Visa i.e. as retirees.聽

I have posted a question on another thread but if anyone has experience of living in Greece as FIP I'd appreciate a conversation.聽

To add to things we are thinking of moving our boat over and living on that so again, anyone with any experiences that may be relevant please give me a shout.

We are Ed & Sue currenly living in Canada but planning a move to Greece. We are both mid seventies but very active. We have the paperwork mostly completed but would like to gather more information particularly health insurance.
