Moving to Zanzibar from Europe

Post new topic

Muniramoore33

I am interested in relocating to Zanzibar with my belongings. I am curious about the overall experience and the affordability of prices there. Additionally, I would like to know which European country offers the most convenient shipping options. Thank you.

Hello, everything is ok, is matter to to know your budget size whether to buy or rent a house, or purchase land and do construction yourself.

The valuer of property depend with location in Zanzibar and kind of property.

hello Munira,

Zanzibar is the name of two islands, Unguja and Pemba. These islands have amazing beaches and the weather

is tropical .People of Zanzibar are nice, charming, faithful and like warm welcoming. You can roam around in

the streets peacefully and no one dare to bother you or steal from you. Foods are very tasty and spicy besides

low in price, people of Zanzibar use seafoods. It's easy to live in Zanzibar and get resident compare to

Mainland in Tanzania. For a salary of 2000,000 million Tanzania shillings (USD 900) you are just enjoying the

life locally. I don't know which country you reside  so that I could tell the option of shipping. Could you please

talk to me via WhatsApp number *** for more  clarifications?

Regards,

Hi @Muniramoore33

I’ve shipped items using MK Logisitics in the Uk via sea cargo for larger items( took almost 3 1/2 months). You can also ship via air cargo its a bit more expensive but your items will arrive  within a week.

As far as housing of course it depends on the style + location. Check out fumba town they have some apts and villas for rent with a range of budgets.

Wherever you decide to live makesure you have a generator, Zanzibar has experienced alot of growth in the past 10years. But unfortunately there has been no investment on the infrastructure side( energy).    Electricity comes from the mainland and there are constant outages. Hopefully this will improve with Nyere Dam however I doubt that since some of the issues are old power lines etc
