Return flight tickets after "Approval in Principle"

Post new topic

mike102

I have approval in principle for a 10-year retirement residency visa. Guidance from the EDB states I'll have to show evidence of having bought a return ticket, but it will be 11 months between arriving in Mauritius in mid-August and my first flight back to the UK. I've emailed the EDB on the issue, but no response yet, so I can't order what I want i.e. a one-way flight to Mauritius. Thanks.

You can have a reservation not paid for and produce it when u go for an extension they allow that. It must be before your visa  stamp on your passport expires

@60years Thanks but I'm confused. What "reservation"?

Get your travel agent to book a ticket for a specific day. They can send you the "reserved" ticket which you don't pay for. I was recommended this process by the officer at PIO office.

@60years Ah thanks, so this is something a travel agent might be able to help me with? I normally book with Expedia which compares a number of airlines.
