Hi everyone,
My name is Lauranne, and I am your new liaison for all questions and discussions regarding life in Luxembourg.
I have had the privilege of living in this beautiful country for 10 years now, and I am delighted to share my knowledge and love for the Grand Duchy with you! I appreciate the welcoming atmosphere that prevails in this country, the proximity to nature (great for hiking or cycling!), and the diversity of its inhabitants.
My role here is to accompany and support you throughout your expatriation (or future expatriation) to Luxembourg. I am here to answer your questions and provide useful information for your daily life.
So feel free to post your questions in the ongoing discussions on the forum or create new ones if necessary. I will reply to you as soon as possible! I am happy to contribute to making your experience in Luxembourg as positive and enjoyable as possible.
See you around !
Lauranne

@Vishnuvardhan S
Hi Vishnuvardhan S,
Have you read the guide section on visas? You should find a lot of information there. You can also check the official on that subject. Also, feel free to contact Luxembourgish authorities if you have very specific questions about visas, as they usually answer quite quickly.
Regarding jobs in agriculture, where have you tried to look so far? Please let me know so I can help you as well as I can
Thank you!
Lauranne
@shivaramamgain57
Hello shivaramamgain57,
What do you need to relocate to Luxembourg?
Thank you!
Lauranne
@Lauranne hi,sure i want to come luxembourg in working visa,please if you know the sponsor guide me the process.thank you.
@Lauranne.thanks so much for this wonderful reception I really appreciate it on here,my question is tell me how your journey to Luxembourg came to reality,I mean how do you get to Luxembourg thanks so much in advance for your kind response.
Can you be a guide in getting a sponsorship job opportunity in Luxembourg,I mean can you be of help in getting that please??
@shivaramamgain57
Hello shivaramamgain57,
Thank you for those information. Before asking for a work permit in Luxembourg, you need to first ask for a temporary authorisation to stay and have a valid passport. Depending on your situation, you might then need to ask for a type D visa (but you need to obtain the temporary authorisation to stay first).
With those documents, you can then come to Luxembourg to find a job, and apply for a long term work permit.
Another option is to look for a job first, as your company will most certainly help you with your visa / work permit.
If you need more info, you can check where all the process is described step by step.
Does this help you and answer your question ? Please let me know if I can help you on anything else.
Have a great day!
Lauranne
@opeyemiabdulquadir315
Hello opeyemiabdulquadir315,
Thank you for your kind message, and welcome to the community! Personally, I came to Luxembourg because I had family here, which made my expatriation easier.
I see that you live in Nigeria, so the procedure to come to Luxembourg will be different in your case compared to mine as a French person. You can see in my previous messages links to information on the subject (the necessary documents, the procedure to follow…).
Unfortunately, I cannot find you a job in Luxembourg. However, I can guide you to places where you can look for work or give you advice on how to write a CV or cover letter for Luxembourg, for example.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!
Let me know if you need any further assistance!
Lauranne
@babargill3333
Hi babargill3333,
Great! Having a passport is an important step in this process Please feel free to ask all the questions you may have in a post here. I'll do my best to help you. Other members of the community can also share their own experience with you.
Several of you here are looking for a job in Luxembourg, coming from countries outside the European Union. It might be helpful for you to share your information here, the steps you have already taken, the next steps you plan to take, the difficulties you are encountering… This way, you can help each other out, and the shared information can also benefit other members who are in the same situation. And of course, I will be here to support you, answer any unanswered questions, and guide you to the right institutions if needed.
What do you think?
