My family and I are on the verge of moving to Yangon to take a job at an international school.
We have a million questions, but the most most pressing is whether my wife will be able to work and if so, what industries will hire expats, outside of the education sector?
The school I have interviewed for only hire local teaching assistants, as the wages are much lower. My wife is a TA in the UK but it's unlikely that she would be able to do the same in Yangon. Are there likely to be international hotels or companies that would hire her for admin or reception work etc?
