IQAMA renewal after the 90-Day probi period

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Can you give me your thoughts, please?

I have accepted a new job offer from Company B (Riyadh)

A few days later, their HR discussed their company's policy regarding IQAMA transfers. He said that they only renew or undertake sponsoring after the probationary period of 90 days...to see if the new employee settles well with the company.

My concern is... My IQAMA will expire 1 day before my target date of start with Company B. Given their said policy, the HR advises me to request from my current employer, Company A (Dammam), to renew my IQAMA with at least 3 months validity at my out-of-pocket expense or theirs.

Meaning, what will happen is once I start working with them, my IQAMA would still bear Company A as my sponsor within the same duration as their probation period of 90 days. I'm now having qualms about my acceptance of the job offer, because of their policy.

It would be my first time to transfer, so I'm new to the process.

1. Was the advise of the HR technically legal? or is it a red flag?

2. I don't feel good about asking Company A, which I'll leave eventually, to extend my IQAMA validity just so I could start working legally in Company B. I think it leaves a bad impression to Company A.

Hope you could help me on this please. Thanks and God Bless.
