Hello,
I am intending towork in saudi arabia in a year or two. I will graduate in a year plus need to take one summer class. I want to teach esl in Saudi Arabia. I understand that usually one can attain a 3,000 a month job with ease. And one of the perks is that it is tax free. But, I am a US citizen, and I have heard that I still must file taxes even if I live abroad. Is this true? Is there a way I can avoid it. Also, if I am not making significant money, am I still required to pay taxes on it? I plan to live in Saudi Arabia for a long, long time.
Thank You,
Mansoor

Mansoor, we get a lot of 'time wasters' who come to this forum, people saying they plan to come to KSA and asking a million questions, most of which have already been discussed 100 times but which we usually go to great lengths to answer yet again.  And then ...after a few weeks... POOF.  They're gone.  Apparently it was a passing fancy or nobody would hire them or whatever.  So please forgive us if nobody is jumping to reply to your posts.

Also, FYI, you can find many of the answers yourself by researching online.  You might want to read the KSA teachers' forum at DavesESLCafe.com which is exclusively for ESL teachers but READ and research what's been said before asking questions they've answered a thousand times or the 'regulars' there will eviserate you!

Best of luck to you!
