I would definitely recommend Hanoi as a place to live and teach English. It is well paid here (between $10 - $24 an hour) and the cost of living is relatively cheap. For example a 4 bedroom house can be rented for US $500 a month, food can be bought for around a dollar a meal and a glass of fresh beer is 15 cents! :cheers: :blink: I have been living here for 6 months now and am really enjoying it. Hi mate. There are plenty of jobs here. But unfortunately not many full time. I am in Hanoi. I do get bit of work with good pay. $20-$25 an hour. Cost of living is very cheap. Rent is reasonable around $450 per month. Mate, you have nothing to lose. Expats are very supportive聽 and local schools prefer to hire mature age teachers. Mate, just grab a backpack and leave the bloody freezing winter and join barmy summer. Just gorgeous. Don't let anyone put you off. Life is very fragile. Live it. Mannii
