Brit moving to Miami from Australia

Post new topic

HI!

Am a pommie planning to move to Miami from Sydney for a couple of years with husband and 2 young boys ( one is 5 so due to start school)
Just returned from a trip there - all seemed pretty crazy..! Climate more like Sydney though and i think it could be quite exciting but have read quite alot about crime and seems as though its more suited to singles/ spanish etc?
Condo probably wouldnt work as we would need more space ( 2 boys grumpy cat and husband working from home)
is there a particular area where theres more expats or young families? ( husband would travel a bit so want to feel safe! drove through bits which seemed pretty tough - traffic was crazy!) )
Any advice on Schools, areas would be great!
thanks so much

Hi, I live in Weston, about 45 minutes from miami, and has the best rates for safety and family living, besides has a rating schools.
House rentals are better if you need space for kids.
Miami has nice area called coral gables, for families too, and if u want to be closer to beach Aventura is good.
