dear friends

:) I wish this could be true. Detecting hazard lights will need another technology which is currently not part of Saher.

I don't believe that. and if that were to be true, then I'd rather to get the fine of that and protcet all those behind me from getting fined.

Riyadh Networker

you need to think also of protecting drivers life's

Alliecat

How the hell did you guys even know what he was saying?!? lol

That was my point. Let the violator get his treat.

Even if we get ONE reckless driver starting getting careful, some lives are saved for future. Per a survey done in 2010, on average 17 people die on roads in KSA every day. This number has substantially gone down in the past 2 yrs. Saher needs our support!!!

Really? I guessed we all knew what he was talking about.

Saher is the fairly new system here using cams/radar to catch bad drivers .. it was what he was asking I didn't understand (although based on the replies, it seems he was asking for ideas on how he can 'create hazards' and not get caught).

Nope.  I'm pretty good at reading gibberish but this guy is masterful!

Ok let me flesh it out

Bad drivers, on seeing a vehicle mounted with the Saher cam, immediately turns on the emergency lights so as to signal speeders behind to slow down.

And if they happen to see Saher installed on the other side of the road, they beam the lights up; toggling it up and down.

We do that all the time in the US, flashing headlights (day) or high beams (night) to warn others of speed traps.

I see nothing wrong with it, in the US, anyway (we don't have the crazy driving like in KSA).  I've done it--consider it being neighborly ;)

Additional thought:  it's for poor people like me who can't afford a radar detector!

The guy started the subject is absolutely right. Pls review the below article published in Saudi Gazette.
Talking about how they will do it, perhaps they will have to assign patrol car behind the cameras :P

SR300 fine for flashing lights to warn of Saherhttp://www.saudigazette.com.sa/index.cfm?method=home.regcon&contentid=20130113149168

Use  the WAZE app. seems pretty reliable, and people spot the saher trucks constantly

jst-4-ya

lol guyz lemme tell u all how actually they are going to do it,its simply a manual snap button given to Saher Car Drivers who parks their cars on various spots, if anyone try to inform the cars behind to slow down cuz there is a camera ahead the people of Saher will see anyone informing others, they are just going to snap his photo plus upload him a penalty of 300 SR, well still we have decided an idea that while drivin if we need to let people know that there is a camera, we are going to press brake pedal twice or more to let the people behind knw that there is a car of saher, wat do u think guyz ? isn't that a good idea

Freshlikesushi

i have a novel idea

follow the speedlimit you tard

That idea is far too sensible.

I like the comment after the Saudi Gazette article about Saher making fines for more disturbing things...like drivers letting children hang their bodies out car windows!
