Albanian Canuck Representn'

So here I am. I have managed to add one really cool button to my blog sidebar. The expat-blog button. Love the idea of an expat-community, as most people will share similar experiences trying to adjust in foreign lands.

About me: 25 years old, and originally from Albania the land of eagles and mother Teresa. A country most often misunderstood and stereotyped, yet my favorite place on earth. I have managed to travel some of the most interesting places on earth, and get a fine education in the United States.

Currently I have immigrated to Canada. I live in Montreal, Quebec and I love every minute of it. Montreal is such a ethnically diverse city, and has so much to offer on a cultural level.

Et puis, j'adore les filles Quebecoise.
Visitez mon blog, et mangez de la poutine! :D

Welcome among us ...

when I read "Canuck" in your post title, I thought you were in Vancouver (Canada) ... because of their NHL team. But whatever ... Canada is a beautiful place !!

"Une poutine de chez Ashtone ???"

You can put your blog adress in your profile ... then the link to your blog will appear on the left part (under your pseudo)

And maybe you could talk about albanian culture in the "Living in Europe" part of the forum ...

Welcome Thomas11!

What a great traveler! How many countries have you visited?
(you can talk about it here:/forum/viewtopic.php?id=116)

What do you like the most in Montreal? (les Québecquoises? :D)

Take care,

Julien

It's not so much the number of countries that I have visited, as the extreme cultural differences. Imagine going from rural Eastern European villages, to strolling back alleys of Istanbul, to rolling the dice at the craps table at the Venetian in Vegas.

There is still much of the Western Europe that I haven't seen, mostly due to hardship of getting travel documents/visas etc. However that's about to change soon, and I am currently planning a Northern Italy, Southern France, road trip for next spring.

In Montreal I like the cultural diversity. You can get on a bus, and you will see an equal share of French, English, Arab, Philipinos, Eastern Europeans, West Indies, Hispanic, or Jewish people. The only other place in the world that's similar to that is Queens, New York.

And yes the French Canadian girls are beautiful. I would say that Montreal has the highest concentration of beautiful women, compared to any other place on earth. I don't want to get to deep on the subject, as I wouldn't be able to stop writing about it.

I had no idea what you were talking about until I googled it.

Seems perfect! I will definitely note it, for when I am in Quebec City.

Cheers,

Julien

And London!  ... I am sure I would love Montreal :)

But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Plus it's really hard to measure it as a rather relative subject...

cheers
