You'd need to sign up for PayPal's debit card. Whether you qualify is a different matter.

As LastIn said if you had the debit card you could use that. If not you can transfer funds from your paypal account to whatever bank account you have a debit card with (usually takes 2-3 days I think) and once the transfer of funds is complete use that bank's card.

In an emergency if you have a trusted friend or relative back home with a paypal account and the Paypal debit card you can send them money via paypal (free when you select "I'm sending money to family or friends"), have them withdraw the money and then take it to your bank and deposit it (this way funds would be available right away).

you need to do some steps:

1. Sign up Paypal and choose your account type (premier or business)
2. Verify your credit / debit card
3. Add your bank account
4. withdraw to your bank acc

Paypal will charge 3.9% and 60,000vnd for each withdraw

I don't get charged anything when I transfer funds from my Paypal balance to my bank account maybe it's different if your bank is in Vietnam...

I already have signed up for paypal and linked them to a bank here in Manila, problem is how to do it when in vietnam.

When he asks how could he withdraw money from Paypal, we know that he must already have a Paypal account. Why people suggest him to sign up for a Paypal account?

You should try this link, it's written in Vietnamese, but i think you can do it by some key words and pictures. You should try A Chau Bank (ACB)


Or you can directly go to A Chau Bank (near Lotteria Phu My Hung) and ask them for help. I'm sure they can help you.

Vietnam is a different peace of cake. Their customer will bombard you with the same nonsense, you have in almost all of the posts here.

Following procedure will do, however, it is time consuming:
open a ticket, just write in you are moving from PI to VI.
you will get loads of emails, from their 1st line support. Close the ticket after a few bullshit answers containing, click here, use your american address....
after closing, you get an automated survey.....

FILE THAT TO A COMPLAINT, include your original request
Within a few days, some kind of supervisor will contact you, without copy/paste and read your email/complaint.


- you will get the option of manual verification/vetting
if you get, you will receive to a HUMAN email address within paypal. If you get verified/vetted manually, you have to send to send your stuff (they will give you a list) as low resolution pdf (max 1 mb), containing their requested infos e.g. passport copy, utility bills) to that email.
-assuming, you are going the same way and accepted, you might have within 2 weeks, as soon  a supervisor is involved, you final answer.

Money is only INCOMING, to Vietnam, never outgoing. If/when is there is anything on your account like not acceptance/refund/return, your account will lock immediately-you can't unlock your account from within paypal. In each such case, you will have to use the supervisors email (the person done the verification) = direct email to paypal to unlock your account. Such actions, we had twice over almost 6 years and it took really only a few minutes and the account was to normal.

Does anyone know if there is a way to transfer money from a Vietnamese bank TO Paypal?  Are any banks in-country able to connect to Paypal accounts?
