Oman Visit

Post new topic

Hi All.

I really want to visit Oman for a three day weekend at least. Get away from all this dust in Kuwait. When is a good time? What's the weather like in the upcoming months? I was hoping to do it before Ramadhan but time is flying by. Also, where to go? I want a beach and some culture. Thanks!

Hi msjaydee and Welcome to Oman Forum :)

The best time to visit Oman depends mainly on where would you love to go; if you are talking about visiting Muscat and beyond then the best time will be from October till March (Comparing to other Gulf states, the weather in Oman is quite good during summer time apart of the High Humidity at some times), If you wish to visit Salalah, then the best time is from June till September (HavenÂ’t been there yet, but I hear that itÂ’s a paradise during these Months)

I think you would need more than Three Days weekend to capture and explore the best of what Oman can offer, but for your first visit assuming that it would be in Muscat, there are so many activities and places where you can do and go.

There are several beaches around Muscat where you can simply enjoy a whole day laying on the beach, swimming, snorkeling and diving if you wish, a simple itinerary of your three days trip may include but not limited to the following:

Muscat Touristic Bus Tour (This tour is a kind of three hours hop on/off tour but will save you a lot of time, as during these three hours you would pass by all the sightseeing spots in Muscat, from which you can select which places you wish to stay for more time)

Capital Yacht Club or Oman Dive Center, where you can enjoy the beach, bar, restaurant and water sports; there are also some snorkeling and dolphin watching trips that runs from Bandr Al Rawda Port.

While in Muscat donÂ’t miss the chance to visit the Royal Opera House, check their website and plan your trip to include attending one of their lovely shows; that will add a fantastic scent to your trip.

There are so many other things to do, exploring lovely wadis (Valleys), mountainÂ’s trekking, desert camping and many more which you may need more time for it.

Are you still in Kuwait??! Yalla Yalla, you have got to start from now to explore the beauty of Oman :D

Let us know in case of any further information required to plan your trip.

Cheers :)

Thanks everyone. I am looking forward to exploring Oman. I'll let you know when I go and how it went. For now, I'm stuck in my dusty but still lovable Kuwait.
