I'm new to the forum but hardly new to Cambodia. Been Living and working in tourism here for almost 12 years.
I'm always happy to give advice; but beware I do have a sense of humour. You cant exist in the Land Of Laughter without some.

I am from Australia, and looking to go to some country where I can be useful.
I guess this is my first step, but now I need  help from the "been there done that" people.
It seems to me that there is someone  who can tell me of someone, who has a lot of info for a person who wants to follow some of the trails.  I imagine that there is some serious criteria to have regards to, eg, importance of language,,,,culture,,,,,,is there a site where this comparisons and issues are presented as a guide. Using computers efficiently is not one of my skills yet.   I chose Cambodia as a go to, as I have heard from some people here that they are a really nice, and that it was one way to start finding out where I want to commit.  Off the top of my head I would look at say 5  places;  Cambodia, ,,,Vietnam,,,,,Thailand,,,,India,,,,phillipines.  I am 75 so can't  hang about trying to pick number 1, but am prepared to move on if best to do. My  vision at this point is to hook up with some volunteer  org, some how.  I'm more of a country  person, practical, and not materialistic, and very flexible, but do have some standards.  I look forward to key suggestions with thanks..if your lucky we may meet, or the other way round.  I think I put a profile on the site, gives bit of info ?.  Regards,,,, mick

Hello all, I live in Paris, and just came back from 4 wonderful months working in Siem Reap.  I plan to go back and so I am looking for someone to tutor me privately in Khmer spoken, and written.  I would also be willing to exchange for tutoring in English or French here in Paris.  I am perfectly fluent in both.

A wonderful day to all, Chantal Debreu
