Nightlife in Erbil

Hello everyone, I arrived in Erbil last week and so far love the place and its people here. Haven't particularly seen or heard much about its nightlife though. I am staying close to Ankawa so can anyone suggest what places could I enjoy, alone! I am a single guy and would just like to make some friends... just in case.

In Ainkawa you can try the German Restaurant "Der Deutscher Hof". It has an outdoor garden where people seem to mingle. Some people like to go to the T-Bar on Quiz night, etc. That is on the main street in the direction of leaving Ainkawa.

I have also met some interesting people in Costa Rica coffee shop near Hotel Rotanna. Sometimes there are groups of expats hanging around the 3rd floor food court of Majidi Mall right outside of Fat Burger Restaurant on a Friday between 11am and 1pm.

I think the best way to meet people is to join * online. You don't have to pay any money. They have events every month and I have always met interesting people there.
