Where to find good ingredients for cooking in Istanbul?

Post new topic

Cedoo

Dear ½ûÂþÌìÌà members,

Recently arrived in Istanbul, I would like to launch a new topic to share good spots where to buy good food ingredients. Fruits and Vegetables are pretty nice everywhere but for exemple beef is terrible in most of the markets I went!!!

Then to start with it, I'd love to hear from you where to find delicious beef! but please feel free to discuss for other ingredients!

Cheers!

Hi Friend,
Welcome to Istanbul:)
Yes, there are much fruit and vegetable. You can buy them from street bazaars, markets, supermarkets, shopping centers. Also, there are green groceries too. What about meat? I couldn't get.
Just I know, meat(lamb or cow) is very expensive nowadays.
Do you try to cook Turkish food;)

Cedoo

Thanks for your answer!

Hi,

there is a store called Dükkan in Nişantası. There you can find the best meat.

Bonjour Cedoo,

Hi

Try Gunaydın at Istinye Park for beef. They are really good.
For good vegetables, you can find at the market of Kadıkoy and Besiktas
