Hello KL expats,
I live in Thailand but my friend from Cuba will fly to KL and is planning to apply for a Thai tourist visa to Thailand for a short holiday there.
I can't get the answer from the embassy as they don't pick up the phone neither answer my e-mails. Is there anybody who is planning to go there and by being there, ask if Cuban citizen can apply for a tourist visa?
Thank you in advance,
Margot

Thank you for your answer. I will keep calling them. The thing is it might be impossible to apply for a tourist visa in KL and he has to go to Mexico, what will be impossible. I wanted to know if anyone can confirm that or maybe know the solution.

Check with Thai visa site. They are pretty accurate and up todate. They have three categories for visa requirements..good luck..

Lots of rumours that kl embassy don't issue tourist visas any more. It changes daily and who knows. They will know less than anyone!

TIA (this is Asia)

I get updates from thaivisa forum and others as I used to live there. Rules change daily on whims and fancies of politicians (military at moment). Best to get visa in home country

Malaysia

Hello,

Citizens of Cuba must apply for a visa to Thailand in person at the nearest consulate of Thailand in Cuba. If there is no consulate of Thailand in Cuba there may be a consulate of Thailand in a neighboring country that covers the jurisdiction of Cuba . If he apply for visa from Malaysia the Thai embassy will reject his application and ask him to aooly from Thai embassy in neighboring his country and the neast country is Mexico so he need to sent his passport to Mexico to apply for visa . regards
