When my wife and I lived in Vila 1972-75, the hospital (the British hospital, that is; the French had their own) was the Paton Memorial - probably rather primitive compared with the one you have now! It featured in a blog I posted on my website in September last year (2013), under the title "Phoning Princess Margaret". It's hardly Pulitzer Prize writing, but anybody interested in The Way Things Were In The Bad Old Days might like to have a look. Actually, whooh! It has just occurred to me that it may conceivably be the same hospital as you have now! Surely not! If by some chance it IS, then there really is a desperate need to replace it...
