What is the findings of your liver issue? if it is hepatitis A or B then ur already unfit and u can't proceed with your job in jeddah...

Actually my ALT (SGPT) is higher than it should be. Mine is 145 and it should be less than 45. However, the cause is not Hepatitis A or B, they are both negative. It seems either viral infection or liver size. As per my physician, it should take another three four weeks to get the levels down.

My question is, do they check ALT (SGPT) again in KSA? or if I get the visa then it's done? What if my SGPT levels are again high when they take blood sample in KSA for Iqama? Will they deport me or give me a chance to get treatment or just deport? That is what I am worried about? Please if you could guide.

Hi again your case is not that bad, my brother works in a ship and he had several medical examination and he got the same findings about SGPT of the liver. It is fats in your liver. He always took a medication for 2 weeks and yes he's still fit to work. I work 11years in Saudi Arabia and yes blood samples is taken during medical for Igama. Don't know exactly if SGPT is included in that exam. Better ask your doctor and consult some of your friends in KSA. If you're able to leave and arrived in Saudi and found out with same, options are: 1) your employer might waived for your medical result so you could stay and get a resident permit (Igama) 2) you'll be sent home in a proper way not deportation

And it is a relief to know that Medical report can be waived off by Employer, as my employer already know this and they have no issues with this.

Now it's just if somebody here could confirm if SGPT is included in the medical exam done for Iqama in KSA? Any website with some info please?

Please I need advice.. My husband did a medical test recently and he was told he has hepatitis b..His Iqama is valid and he his almost 2 years in   saudi arabia.. When he came in 2013 he was tested and he had nothing.. Please does everyone knows lf he is faced with deportation?

Yes the list is correct, I have just had my medical for iqama , they only took bloods, urine, chest x ray and then b.p. With a doctor, no stool

I guess it depends which hospital you go as when I had done my tests for iqama two months back, they took stool as well.

I guess I got lucky, maybe it's because I'm only here on dependant and not working visa, shocked that my 11 year old had to have bloods though

That's the comprehensive list, but as I told earlier some of the tests are just bypassed or may be aren't required at all.

They do run sugar levels test, but not sure if this would disqualify you as its not a contagious disease or anything that would mKe it impossible for you to work

My sugar us high these days and wondering they might declare me unfit as I read that gcc is banning expatriates with chronic diseases such as bp sugar etc...

What kind of tests once you arrive? I have a friend who went there with her husband and she did not have a chest x ray when she landed. Not sure about blood work. But, I've read otherwise. What do wives and dependents have done once they arrive?

Myself and my son, who is 12 had bloods, and chest x ray, I had urine for pregnancy and the bp done , no biggy

I need to move to KSA but I am facing similar problem. I had myself tested and my ALT levels were observed to be 72 while the normal value is considered to be in the range of 50-55 according to the test.

Just read your answer here and I am looking for a similar medication. I am not having anything oily, no salts or food as a matter of fact and am trying really hard to reduce the ALT level but I want some medicine besides what I am doing in order to help.

Please let me know the name of the medicine your brother takes to reduce this level. It would be of great help actually.

Do they take hearing test in KSA? I can hear alright but one hearing efficiency is slightly less at one particular frequency in one ear. Can it be an issue in KSA to get iqama?

As far as I know there is no hearing test for iqama issuance.

Specify your problem exactly which test come wrong,then only i can advice.
.All medical tests usually repeated in KSA in medical fitness test before IQAMA Or Residency permit is issued to you.

I'm would like to pursue an ESL teaching opportunity in KSA but I'm worried about the chest x-ray for TB.  I have scarring on my lungs that look like TB even though it is only scarring and not any active illness.

I have a letter from a Pulmonary Specialist to confirm I have no active illness in my lungs.  Will this be sufficient  and acceptable during the medical check for the Iqama?

I'm in the same boat in that I have a granuloma in my lung that the CT scan showed was not an issue. I turn up at the end of July in Jeddah so hope it won't be an issue.

I think if you pass the medical test in your home country, you'll pass it again in KSA for Iqama. But I don't know the exact updated rules nowadays.
