Experiences with Germany

Hello!
My Name is Anna and I am from Germany. At the moment I teach German at the Princess Chulabhorn Science Highschool in Phitsanulok.
I found this Website while surfing in the internet and now I try to contact Thais in Germany or Thais that visited Germany, so I can talk with my students about cultural differences.
So this goes out to all Thais that visited Germany and remember some stuff that was strange or amazing for them. It would be great, if I could get some answers of People who worked in Germany and stayed longer than 1 or 2 weeks, but also if not, you can answer of course :-)

Thanks
Anna

Jogging in a cemetary? Mixed saunas? These are two things that come to mind from a Thai visiting me in Germany...

Hi Anna,

To answer your question as i'm Thai:-) What amazed me while visiting Germany for work is that people do not hang out much with colleagues after work.  It's like they do separate personal lives and work life.  And If you want to visit some friends, you need to make an appointment first. You can just pop up in front of their house and say hello, hey i come to visit you blah blah:)

This is how i encountered over there. But overall it's all amazing there. Plus, i can drive on highway with no speed limit:)

Regards,
N.
