Administrative employment

Hi,

My husband may have an offer in Cayman which is great news.  We have been expats in another location in the past.  My question is how feasible would it be for me to obtain work in the executive administrative/PA field in Cayman?  (I have solid qualifications, degree, etc.)  Would I have to be Caymanian in order to obtain a work permit in that area?  We are assessing whether I would be able to work there before accepting an offer for him.

I have visited the agency websites and see some admin jobs on there, just not sure if they are only Caymanian considered.

Thanks in advance for your input.

First thing to say is that only foreigners need to get Work Permits, not Caymanians. Second: you should have a good chance of getting a Work Permit, with or without an agency. Previous experience a great advantage, of course. Why don't you email some of the agencies, and ask them?

Thanks for the reply.  Do the employers usually pick up the work permit fee?  Or is that always a term of negotiation?

Always. It's the law.
