Return ticket when entering Fiji

Hi,

I am planning to enter Fiji as a tourist. One of the conditions is that I have to show a return ticket. But I don't know what date I would leave Fiji; I haven't decided that yet. One reason is that I'm considering investing into a Fijian business so then I'd possibly apply for the investing permit in Fiji (which I have checked that it can be done within Fiji) so in that case I wouldn't know my possible return date.

I'm just wondering are they so specific about showing the return ticket, if I fulfill all the other conditions?

Also in the case they are specific about that, can I book the ticket right there at the airport if there's a problem?

This is correct. You will need return ticket. I suggest that you find out how long the tourist visa is for then book your ticket so you leave a day before the visa expires.

You could go online, find the website for Fiji customs and immigration and contact them as to whether a tourist visa can be extended whilst you are in country.

You could look at an open return ticket which is valid for say 6 months so that you get to book your return date with the airline聽 before the ticket expires.
