Post new topic

Does anyone know what the travel agent qualifications are in Germany? Are there any english speaking schools (especially online ones) that would be useful for someone looking to get qualified to be a travel agent in Germany?

Thanks for any help. I have googled a lot, but running out of what to actually search for.

I needed a 3 year apprenticeship to become a certified travel agent
in Germany.  This included a test in front of a board.

I don't think they would accept the US version of travel agent but
I would go into a big travel agency and ask for their advice.
Don't know of any travel agency classes in Germany.

Possibly, you could work for a local Verkehrsamt that promotes
local travel, however, you would need some kind of experience.

Somehow you need to produce a " Lebenslauf"  listing your
experiences, where you worked  etc.  Check the internet for the proper format.

Also your visa needs to have a work permit. My 2 year visa came with a work permit.

This will be very difficult!
